Representing a scallop’s Shell (vieira), which has become one of the most recognisable attributes of pilgrimage, it was proof that the pilgrim had reached Finisterre (the edge of the known world) and its beaches. Usually it was employed to drink from the fountains along the Way; today it is an universal symbol, in its different iconographies, for the Camino de Santiago.

Made in gold-plated and enamelled brass. Produced by hand by artisans ascribed to a hundred-years-old tradition.
